Back to Blog

It has been a long while since I have blogged. I guess facebook is taking over the world! But I do love looking back on the memories of things i have blogged about and pictures I have posted. I don't keep a journal very well....don't gasp with disappointment....so this will have to do.
A quick update. Jenny and Jody are both at Utah State this year. They are having a fun time together. They got Bryce and I Utah State shirts and we all wore them to the game when SUU played Utah State basketball. It was great fun! Krea would stand and cheer for SUU among a sea of blue Aggie fans. Aggie fans know how to have fun cheering at games, even if at times they can be a little brutal. And for those of you who don't know 'Wild Bill' you are missing out!!

I have a new grandson Zeke Bradley. He was born on May 21 and is a happy, cute little guy. He has big blue eyes and a BIG grin.

His big sister loves him and torments him at times....like putting bows in his hair. She likes to make him laugh and he thinks she is SO funny. I can't wait to go see them again....hopefully soon!

Snowmobiling

We went to Idaho this past weekend for Katie (my niece) and Matt's wedding.

Jody, Katie, Jenny

Then stayed in Blackfoot with Brittany and Brad. On Saturday Brad took us snowmobiling up by Rexburg on their dry farm. We had a blast and enough adrenaline rushes to last awhile! The Wards are serious snowmobilers and we are novices! They took us off very steep places and then back up them!! We had a hotdog roast and it is amazing how great a blackened hotdog tastes when you've been out in nature! Thanks Wards...We had a blast!!

We were able to get away for Labor Day and go to Idaho to Brittany and Brad's. Jody came from Utah State and met us there. We went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Ate some yummy fair food...seriously it is good stuff and looked at all the animals and displays. We sized up the pigs to see how Bryce's pig looked compared to the ones there. (I will post pictures of him showing his hog at the Southern Utah Junior Livestock show when I get the pictures off of the camera.) The next day we went to their dry farm by Rexburg. We picked huckleberries and rode dirt bikes. We had a great time! It was a nice break and fun to spend time with family.

Patterson Family Reunion 2009

We had a lot of fun over Memorial Day Weekend! First we went to Marissa's (my niece) graduation in the Boise area and then we hit our family reunion in Albion, ID. Albion is a small, very small town in southern Idaho. Back in the day....way back in the day...ladies would go there to be trained in becoming a teacher. Someone has refurbished the dorms into a place to have a large group (like the Patterson's) be able to gather. There was a bounce house and a hot tub for the kids to play in and we could see them out the windows where we were cooking for the crowd or having coupon class or whatever. So it worked out really nice. The dorm had three floors with a game room on the top floor and a big screen TV. On the main floor we had another TV with Rock Band going. So there was plenty of entertainment. Also the City of Rocks was close by and it has a bunch of cool rock formations. Brittany and I were the farm wife widows....Krea and Brad weren't able to go. So that was the only drawback. So unless we start having reunions in the dead of winter.... (well, then cows will need fed and shortly after that cows will be calving) Anyway, here are some pictures.

I couldn't figure out how to add this video to blog. Copy and paste to watch. It is worth the effort! Kelby would have been 14 years old today and been ordained a teacher in the Aaronic priesthood.
